Tractor Run 2014 Cwmrisca Farm
TRACTOR RUN 2013 FROM CWM RISCA FARM
Another great run with the Aberthin boys!
THE ‘Tractor Boys of Aberthin’, in association
with the Blacksmiths Arms,
Llanmaes, held what has become an
annual event – a vintage tractor run in aid
of Ty Hafan.
Participants travelled from far and wide, including
Bridgend, to support this very worthy cause,
which was much appreciated by the run organisers.
The run was staged on Sunday, March 25 with
over 36 vintage tractor entries leaving Arthur John’s
car park in Cowbridge at 10.30am.
The convoy headed towards Aberthin at a brisk
15mph before moving on to take in other villages in
the Vale to include Welsh St Donats, Clawdd Coch,
Pendoylan, Duffryn, Moulton, Llancarfan and
Llantrithyd, finally arriving at the Blacksmiths Arms
for a long anticipated lunch break.
The convoy then made tracks back to Cowbridge
via Sigingstone, Llanmihangel and Llanblethian.
A total distance of 30 miles was covered, raising
£605.57 for Ty Hafan.
Many thanks to Mr D John and family for the use
of their car park and to Mike, Jackie, and Russell of
the Blacksmiths Arms for their hospitality and to all
those who contributed to the sum raised.
